Warm, earthy and softly floral, Patchouli Rose is a little bit wild and a little bit romantic. Deep, grounding patchouli meets the soft floral character of rose geranium, creating a scent that's beautifully balanced rather than overly sweet. French pink clay gives the bar its natural blush colour, while Himalayan salt adds a gentle exfoliating feel to its creamy lather.
Made with coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil, shea butter and aloe vera, this bar produces a rich, creamy lather that's lovely for everyday use. It's a beautifully grounded floral for anyone who likes their flowers with a little earthiness.

What makes a salt soap different?
Salt soaps are unlike any other bar you've tried. The Australian sea salt combined with nourishing coconut oil, creamy shea butter and organic aloe vera creates a dense, creamy lather that gently polishes your skin as it melts — leaving you feeling genuinely soft and lightly exfoliated without any harshness.
Why sea salt is good for your skin
-
Gently exfoliates
Sea salt buffs away dead skin cells as it melts, leaving skin smooth and polished without any harsh scrubbing.
-
Draws in moisture
Salt is naturally hygroscopic — it attracts moisture from the air and holds it against your skin, leaving you softer after every wash.
-
Rich in minerals
Australian sea salt contains magnesium, calcium and potassium — trace minerals that support healthy, balanced skin.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a salt soap bar?
A salt bar is a handmade soap that contains a high proportion of Australian sea salt (up to 50% of its weight). The salt becomes part of the bar itself, creating a dense, creamy lather that gently exfoliates and leaves skin feeling polished and soft.
Will it dry out my skin?
No — and this surprises a lot of people. Unlike commercial soaps that strip your skin's natural moisture, our salt bars are made with a rich base of plant oils and shea butter that nourish as they cleanse. The sea salt actually helps draw moisture to the surface of your skin, leaving it feeling softer not drier. In fact I (Eleanor - the maker) have very dry skin and salt soaps are my favourite to use at home!
Is salt soap suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes — despite what you might expect, salt soap is actually very gentle. The sea salt melts away as you use it and the nourishing base of plant oils and shea butter keeps skin balanced and hydrated. We recommend patch testing first if you have very sensitive skin.
Can I use it on my face?
Our salt bars are formulated for the body. For facial skin, which is more delicate, we'd recommend our Turmeric & Jojoba, Rose Clay or Naked bar on the face — these are our gentlest bars and better for sensitive facial skin.
How is it different from a regular soap bar?
Two big differences. First, the lather — salt soap produces a uniquely creamy, dense lather that feels completely different to a regular bar. Second, the exfoliation — the sea salt gently polishes your skin as it melts, so you get a light scrub every time you shower without needing a separate exfoliating product.
Do salt soaps make good gifts?
They really do. They look beautiful, smell amazing and feel like a genuine treat. Our Ningaloo salt bar is one of our most loved products and always goes down well as a gift — especially for anyone who loves the ocean or the outdoors.
